Grand Caymans
In order to rent a car on the Island, you will need to have your driver's license and an accepted credit card available. A Visitors Driving Permit, cost US$ 7.50, is required for those who are 25 and older and who have a driver's license. These can be obtained from from police stations and car rental agencies. While not a mandatory requirement, it is advisable to take an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your license is not in English.

Seatbelt, safety seat, and helmet policy

All drivers and passengers must wear their seatbelts, and all motorcyclists must wear helmets. Children under four-years-old should be in a child safety seat. Older children should ride in the back seat.
